I am not technical. That is the point.

I spent seventeen years in rooms where taste, relationships and judgment decided everything. Then I built a software company without writing a line of code, by learning to work with AI.

I am not telling you that to impress you. I am telling you because the distance between where you are and where I am is smaller than you think. It is not talent. It is a handful of habits, learned in the right order, with people who make it fun.

Most people I meet open ChatGPT, type something, get back an answer that sounds like everyone else, and close the tab. They decide AI is for other people. They were right about the answer and wrong about the reason. Nobody showed them how to give it their judgment.

What I believe

AI is not a trend you can wait out. This year, companies blamed AI for more than one in five announced job cuts in America. Almost everything is becoming replaceable. The one thing people keep paying a human for is accountability: someone who understands the work, uses the tools, and answers for the result.

I want that person to be you. The future belongs to the people who understand AI, use it, and build with it, and none of those three require a technical background. They require a seat at the right table.

Why a club, and why a happy hour

Learning this should not feel like IT training. It should feel like the best table in the room. So the Club has short lessons built around real work, live sessions where you bring one task and leave with it done, The Modern Happy Hour every Friday at 3 p.m. Pacific, and coffee and lunch meetups in the cities I travel to.

Ambitious people learn faster together, and they have more fun doing it. I want you to leave every session with something finished, a few new people in your corner, and the quiet confidence of being current.

You are not behind on your dreams, but you will be if you do not start using the tools that will get you there.
